Midwest extends Northwest code-share deal

Midwest Air Group Incorporated's Midwest Airlines extended its code-share agreement with Northwest Airlines Corp. for routes between Indianapolis and seven cities. The Milwaukee airline expects the code-share agreement to "greatly expand" the networks of both carriers by adding 250 city pairs and more than 1,000 new flight options.

Alaska Airlines to offer Seattle-MSP flights Alaska Airlines is entering the Twin Cities market. It's launching twice-daily routes between Seattle and Minneapolis-St. Paul starting in October, and once-daily flights between Seattle and Kona, Hawaii, starting in November. Tickets for the new flights go on sale Thursday. To inaugurate the service, Seattle-based Alaska Airlines is offering introductory one-way fares of $139 between Seattle and Minneapolis and $229 between Seattle and Kona.
