Michael Beasley and Wes Johnson didn't exactly dazzle in their Suns debut

It is, admittedly, a small sample size in Phoenix. Maybe Michael Beasley and Wes Johnson will get the fresh starts they crave (though we should point out the overall sample size, including time with the Wolves, is considerable).

But just in case you were wondering, the Suns -- with Beasley, Wes and Sebastian Telfair now on the roster -- lost 87-85 at home last night to the Warriors.

Beasley? He started and played a scant 22 minutes. He was 2-for-9 from the field, scored 8 points and was a minus-6 for the game. Bassy? Minus-8 in 11 minutes.

And Wes? Well, despite what sounds like quite the love affair between he and Phoenix -- one that continues despite the fact that the Suns declined his option for next year -- drew the dreaded "Did not play -- coach's decision" in the opener.

Hey, there are still 81 left.
