Maya Moore, who plays for the Lynx in the summer, might soon lead another team to a title.

The 6-foot forward scored 53 points as Shanxi beat Zhejiang 96-92 on Tuesday in the first game of the best-of-five Women's Chinese Basketball Association finals. Moore was 8-for-19 on three-point attempts and also had 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Elizabeth Cambage, a 6-8 center for Tulsa in the WNBA, had 38 points for Zhejiang.

Etc.• Maggie Keefer of the Gophers was named the Big Ten women's Diver of the Week. Keefer, a junior from Stillwater, won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events Friday in a home meet with North Dakota. Her score of 306.00 on the 1-meter board was a season high.

• The Gophers' Greg Norsten, of Woodbury, was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week in men's swimming. He won the 200 butterfly (1 minute, 53.20 seconds) and the 200 individual medley (1:55.28) Friday against UND.

Having the second choice is ideal for Cheryl Reeve and the Lynx, but they must first fill out a roster that’s in flux with many of their players free agents.
