Mavericks sweep Huskies • MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 5, ST. CLOUD STATE 3: Jason Wiley and Andrew Sackrison each recorded a goal and an assist as the Mavericks completed a weekend sweep of the Huskies on Saturday in St. Cloud, Minn. The Huskies (11-12-3, 6-10-2 WCHA) took a 2-0 lead on a pair of special-teams goals in the first 12 minutes. On a shorthanded odd-man rush, John Swanson blasted a slapshot short side at 7:58. Four minutes later, Ryan Lasch tucked a power-play wrister from the left edge of the crease past Mavericks goalie Mike Zacharias. But Wiley put the Mavericks on the board 47 seconds later when his shot from the slot deflected under Huskies goalie Dan Dunn. Kael Mouillierat scored on an odd-man break 90 seconds into the second period, and the Mavericks (11-10-4, 5-9-4) went ahead with Sackrison's power-play blast from the right circle at 5:51.

• NORTH DAKOTA 3, ALASKA-ANCHORAGE 1: Despite their lowest shot total in at least five seasons, the Sioux beat the Seawolves in Grand Forks, N.D., completing a weekend sweep and earning their seventh consecutive victory. North Dakota (16-8-1, 13-7-0 WCHA) mustered only 13 shots on net but Jean-Philippe Lamoureux made 35 saves and T.J. Oshie scored one goal and set up another as the Sioux moved into second place in the league. The Seawolves (6-12-6, 2-12-4) are 0-5-2 in their past seven games.

• MICHIGAN TECH 5, COLORADO COLLEGE 2: Rob Nolan stopped 33 shots, Peter Rouleau had a goal and two assists and the Huskies (10-11-3, 6-8-2) beat the Tigers (18-7-1, 15-4-1) in Houghton, Mich.

• MINNESOTA DULUTH 4, MASS.-LOWELL 1: Andrew Carroll scored two third-period goals to lead the Bulldogs (10-8-6) past the River Hawks (11-8-4) in Lowell, Mass.
