The sold-out “The Best of Steve Martin and Martin Short” shows scheduled for Feb. 28 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis have been postponed after the death of Short’s daughter.

According to various news reports, Katherine Short, a 42-year-old social worker, was found dead Feb. 23 at her Hollywood Hills home. Entertainment Tonight and TMZ have called it a suicide.

“Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world,” the Short family said in a statement to People magazine.

Hennepin Arts, which operates the Orpheum, said tickets will be honored for a rescheduled date to be determined.

Short’s wife and Katherine’s mother, Nancy Dolman, died in 2010 from ovarian cancer. Short lost his mom, dad and older brother before he turned 20.
