Marquis on the mound against Wainright

Twins try to remember what it's like to score runs

Jason Marquis knows the Cardinals well. He won 42 games there from 2004-06. It was in the middle of his run of six straight seasons of at least 11 wins. Twins fans wouldn't mind 14 wins out of Marquis this year.

Marquis will make his second appearance of spring today when he faces one of his old teams. Marquis was shaky in his first outing as he struggled to find command of his darting sinker.

Spring training games are fake ones before the real ones start, but it would be nice for the Twins to remember what it's like to score runs. They have been shut out in back-to-back fields and have yet to homer in Target Canyon, er, Hammond Stadium.
