The veteran Sparks guard hit a long corner jumper at the buzzer to give her team a victory in its return to the WNBA Finals for the first time in 13 years. Beard had four points, four rebounds, two blocked shots and two steals, including a block on Lindsay Whalen and a steal from Maya Moore to help contain a late Lynx rally.
