Preview: The Lynx start a three-game road trip at one of the toughest places to win. Los Angeles is 15-1 this season at the Staples Center and beat the Lynx there 96-90 on July 5 when guard Kristi Toliver scored 29 points and Candace Parker 28.

Lynx at a glance: Maya Moore is putting up MVP statistics during the second half of the season. The second-year forward had a career-high 29 points Monday as the Lynx beat Indiana. Her five three-pointers in the third quarter tied a WNBA record. ... The Lynx (26-5) have won six of their past seven meetings with the Sparks, but are 3-18 at the Staples Center. ... Veteran center Taj McWilliams-Franklin needs two points for 5,000 in her career.
