Lynx at a glance: This is Fan Appreciation Night at Target Center. And those going to games this season have had a lot to like already. The Lynx at 13-3 have the third-best home record in the WNBA. They beat New York 86-68 Sunday on the road. The starters were hot (shooting 56.1 percent from the field), the defense was stingy (the Liberty had five points the third quarter), and the reserves finished the game (combining for 28 points). ... Point guard Lindsay Whalen needs one assist to break her single-season team record of 184. ... Rebekkah Brunson needs 17 rebounds in the last two regular-season games to break her team record of 310.

Sky at a glance: Chicago (14-17) has not made the playoffs in its six years in the league. ... The Sky is 4-10 on the road this season, and guard Epiphanny Prince (14.5 points per game) is the only scoring threat besides Sylvia Fowles, a 6-6 center. Fowles is averaging 19.8 points and 10.2 rebounds. She is shooting .598 from the field and averaging a 2.1 blocks per game, both league bests. ... Fowles had 28 points and 13 rebounds in the Sky's 79-76 loss to the visiting Lynx on Aug. 12. ... Chicago has lost two consecutive close games, falling to New York (71-67) on the road and to Indiana (88-80) at home. ...
