7 P.M. VS. ATLANTA • TARGET CENTER • 106.1-FM
Lynx update: The Lynx, winners of five of six, end a three-game homestand by facing Atlanta, which has lost three in a row. The Lynx have a five-game home winning streak vs. Atlanta, including a two-overtime victory last July in which F Maya Moore scored a franchise-record 48 points. She had 27 vs. Los Angeles on Wednesday, running her franchise record for consecutive games with 20 or more points to nine. G Lindsay Whalen returned after missing one game because of an eye injury to score 24 points Wednesday. … In her Lynx debut, C Sylvia Fowles scored 11 points with five rebounds and three steals. … G Anna Cruz, who turned her right ankle Wednesday, missed practice Thursday and is questionable. G Seimone Augustus (knee surgery) is out.
Dream update: The Dream, which acquired F-C Damiris Dantas and F-C Reshanda Grey in the three-way trade that brought Fowles to Minnesota, didn’t waste any time putting the two ex-Lynx players to work. Dantas started Wednesday’s loss to San Antonio and played 33 minutes, scoring six points with seven rebounds. Grey, a rookie, scored a career-high 13 points in 14 minutes. F Angel McCoughtry (20.1 ppg) and G Tiffany Hayes (12.2) are Atlanta’s top two scorers. McCoughtry, who has been bothered by a groin injury, is probable. F Sancho Lyttle (foot) is questionable, as is F Cierra Burdick (foot).
