The Lynx Thursday officially announced they had signed forward/center Asjha Jones.Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We are very excited to have added another WNBA All-Star to our roster," Lynx executive vice president Roger Griffith said in a statement released by the team. "Jones will provide a good physical inside presence and veteran leadership to our team, which will help us compete for the WNBA championship in 2015.'

Jones, 6-3, has played in 11 WNBA seasons, her last nine with Connecticut, where she was Lindsay Whalen's teammate. Jones took the last two WNBA seasons off due to injuries. But in those 11 seasons she was named to two All Star games (2007 and 2009).
