Lynx announce 2015 schedule; opener June 5

The 2015 WNBA season was announced today, and the Lynx will open the season – the team's 17th – at home vs. Tulsa on Friday, June 5.

The team's 34-game season runs from June 5 to Sept. 11.

Here are some fast facts about the season:

--The Lynx have one four-game home-stand, which includes games against Phoenix, Indiana, New York and Seattle from Aug. 30-Sept. 8.

--The longest string of road games are three three-game stretches. The first is at Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Antonio from June 14-19. The second is at Tulsa, Los Angeles and Phoenix Aug. 1-7 and at San Antonio, Phoenix and New York Aug. 21-28.

--There are two back-to-backs on the schedule: At home vs. Tulsa June 5 and at Indiana June 6. The second is vs. Atlanta July 31 and at Los Angeles Aug. 1.

--Three games will be televised on ESPN2 – at Phoenix June 14, at Los Angeles Aug. 4 and vs. Phoenix Aug. 30.

--the Lynx will play both defending champion Phoenix (three away, two at home) and Seattle (three at home, two on the road) five times each.
