MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

Minnetronix Inc., St. Paul, a medical device design and manufacturing firm, has acquired Neurofluidics Inc., a privately held Menlo Park, Calif., company with an established base of patented technology in neuro critical care.

NEW BUSINESS

Renewable Energy Group (REG), Albert Lea, Minn., completed $21 million in technology upgrades at its 30-million-gallon biodiesel refinery in southern Minnesota. The upgrades allow REG Albert Lea to run a variety of locally sourced agricultural byproducts such as animal fats, used cooking oils, inedible corn oils and yellow grease as well as vegetable oils.

Restaurant Technologies Inc., Mendota Heights, a food service oil management company, has expanded its frying-oil delivery, management, removal and equipment service capability with the addition of a Des Moines depot. The company's first Iowa-based oil depot supports more than 130 current customers located throughout Iowa, eastern Nebraska and western Illinois. It will also supply and service 80 new installations coming online around the region over the next four months.

DEBT AND EQUITIES

H.B. Fuller Co., Vadnais Heights, declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 10 cents per common share, payable Aug. 8 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 25.
