Xcel Energy, Minneapolis, agreed to take corrective actions after the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission found it didn't monitor contractors who falsified reports about weld testing of nuclear waste storage casks at the Monticello, Minn., nuclear power plant. Xcel agreed to develop an internal compliance plan and present the lessons learned to nuclear industry officials.
