Clearfield Inc., Brooklyn Park, has elected Patrick Goepel to its board of directors. Goepel will serve on the audit and compensation committee. Goepel is the CEO of Asure Software in Austin, Texas.
Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, St. Paul, named Rick Trontvet as chair of its board of directors for 2015-16. Trontvet is vice president of administration and human resources at Digi-Key Electronics.
MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS
Patterson Companies, Mendota Heights, has completed the previously announced sale of its medical business to Chicago-based Madison Dearborn Partners for $175 million in cash. Officials at Patterson said they intend to apply proceeds from the sale to reduce debt incurred with the June purchase of Animal Health International.
