NEW PRODUCTS

The National Institutes of Health has awarded a small business innovation research grant to Eagan-based Biothera for the continued development of a fungal vaccine. The $150,000 grant will support the continued preclinical research collaboration between Biothera and the California Institute for Medical Research (CIMR), which is focused on creating a novel fungal vaccine that may protect against infection from many different fungal species.

DEBT AND EQUITIES

Best Buy Co. Inc., Richfield, authorized the payment of a regular quarterly cash dividend of 19 cents per common share, payable Oct. 2 to shareholders of record on Sept. 11. The company had more than 349.5 million common shares issued and outstanding as of Aug. 2.

Personnel

Healthsense Inc., Minneapolis, has named Peter Soderberg chairman of its board of directors. Soderberg, a managing partner of Worthy Venture Resources, replaces Kenneth Burdick, who served as Healthsense chairman since 2012. Healthsense is a provider of technology-enabled care solutions for the health care continuum.
