RECOGNITION

Ecolab Inc., St. Paul, ranked second on the 2014 Barron's 500 list of best companies. The list, published in the May 5 issue of Barron's, is a ranking of the 500 largest publicly traded companies in the United States and Canada that have made the most of their assets in recent years and recorded a superior operating performance. Ecolab rose from 119th on the previous year's list.

GOVERNANCE

Techne Corp., Minneapolis, elected Harold Wiens to its board of directors. Wiens is expected to be appointed to the nominations and governance committee and the audit committee. Wiens, 68, is a 30-year veteran of 3M Co.

Dividend

Arctic Cat Inc., Plymouth, declared a quarterly cash dividend of 12.5 cents per share payable on June 13 to shareholders of record on May 30.
