Wolves star Kevin Love is a late scratch from tonight's game against the Lakers, but Kobe Bryant will play for the Lakers.

Love's back and ribs are fine after he got them banged up in Tuesday's victory over the Clippers, but he's inactive tonight because he's feeling ill, what the team is calling your classic "flu-like symptoms."

Rookie Derrick Williams will start in his place, one night after delivering that career-high 27 point night against the Clippers.

Bryant will play while wearing a plastic mask to protect his broken nose sustained in Sunday's All-Star Game.

He passed a neurologist's final test Wednesday evening and was given approval after practicing in a 2-on-2 test run at the team's practice facility earlier in the day.
