KSTP-FM, the music station known as KS95, won a Marconi Award as large market station of the year from the National Association of Broadcasters, one of the highest honors in broadcasting.

The award, given at the trade group's convention in Atlanta Thursday night, was based on a broad range of criteria, including the station's financial performance, market ranking and community service.

Station manager Dan Seeman was awarded market manager of the year in the Radio Inc. management awards at the convention.

The station, owned by Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. in St. Paul, is consistently one of the highest-grossing in the Twin Cities market. Seeman said the station had a strong year in 2014 and was cited for several charitable activities, including an on-air fund-raiser last December that collected more than $700,000 for Childrens' Cancer Research Fund and Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare.
