Keegan Hurley of Dent, Minn., and Laura Docherty of Minneapolis won the men's and women's divisions of Saturday's TC 10K, the opening event of the 2016 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend, which culminates Sunday with the Medtronic TC 10 Mile and the 35th Twin Cities Marathon.

Hurley's time was 33 minutes, 22 seconds on a course that was about three-tenths of a mile longer than 10K because of a course setup error. Michael Hartnett of Richfield was second (34:30) and Matthew Jergenson of Minneapolis (34:44) was third. Docherty ran the course, which started and finished at the State Capitol grounds, in 39:23. Molly Kayfes of Maple Grove was the women's runner-up (42:14), with Jenny Wilcox of Stillwater third (42:41).

Hamza Ali of Minneapolis won the men's TC 10K race in 14:47 and Melissa Agnew of Burnsville won the women's 10K in 17:24.
