The Green Bay Packers are once again teaming up with Jostens Inc. to create a ring commemorating the team's win in this year's Super Bowl.

The Packers' relationship with the Bloomington-based company dates back to coach Vince Lombardi, who chose Jostens to commemorate the team's 1967 victory in Super Bowl I. The Packers subsequently selected Jostens to create championship rings following Super Bowl II in 1968 and Super Bowl XXXI in 1997.

"We're looking forward to continuing the relationship and providing our team a very unique and special piece of jewelry to capture their accomplishment," said Mark Murphy, Packers president and CEO.

The Packers announced the selection of Jostens on Tuesday, but team representatives have been working with the company on a design for several weeks, said Jostens spokesman Rich Stoebe. He said he didn't know when the design would be finalized or when production would begin on the ring, which will be custom-made for players, coaches and other members of the Packers organization.

This will be the 29th time Jostens has made the Super Bowl ring in the championship's 45-year history. The last time it produced one was in 2009 for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
