Jose Berrios is making a strong bid to be the Twins' All-Star representative this season, and he'll start tonight (7:10, BSN) as the team begins a four-game series against Cleveland at Target Field.

Berrios (7-2, 3.56 ERA) will face righthander J.C. Mejia (1-2, 6.11) as Cleveland deals with injuries to starting pitchers Aaron Civale, Shane Bieber and Zach Plesac. Its four scheduled starters in this series have a combined 2-6 record this season.

The Twins put pitcher Randy Dobnak (right middle finger strain) went on the 10-day IL before the game and Griffin Jax was promoted from St. Paul.

Cleveland is only 2½ games out of first place in the AL Central, while the Twins are 12½ behind the first place White Sox.

Josh Donaldson returns to the Twins lineup tonight.
