Joe Janquart named boys' basketball coach at Lakeville South

Joe Janquart was the head coach at North St. Paul the past five seasons, helping to Polars to their state tournament in 17 years.

Lakeville South on Tuesday named Joe Janquart as boys' basketball coach. Janquart spent the last five seasons as coach of the North St. Paul Polars.
In the past two seasons, Janquart led the Polars to their first state tournament in 17 years, first conference title in 45 years and combined for 41 wins. Following the 2015-16 season, Janquart was the recipient of the MSHSCA Class 4A state coach of the year.

Janquart also served as an assistant coach at Henry Sibley for four years and spent three years as an assistant at North St. Paul.
"Coach Janquart's energy and positivity are well known in the Minnesota basketball community," Lakeville South athletics director Tom Dasovich said in statement. "We are all very confident and excited to add him to our staff as a positive culture builder and strong program leader."
