@JimPeteHoops tweets a sweet departure to the Lynx and their fans

Shortly before the news was officially announced, Lynx associate head coach Jim Petersen broke the news of his resignation to his Twitter followers.

The Minnesota Lynx announced Friday that Jim Petersen, who has been an assistant for eight years, is resigning from the job.

The official press release, though, came in a distant second to the way that Petersen, a former Gophers basketball star and eight-year NBA veteran, broke the news in five tweets on social media.
