Really? Kobe Bryant surpassed Shaquille O'Neal to move into the fifth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list last week and O'Neal responded on Twitter and elsewhere by calling his former teammate ... the greatest Laker of all time?

Not true, but startling nonetheless because these guys don't like each other, right?

"I knew if I made him mad, he was going to play out of this world," O'Neal said while calling into NBA TV to congratulate Bryant. "But he also knew if he made me mad, I was going to play out of this world. We are the greatest Laker 1-2 punch ever created. There will never, ever be a 1-2 punch more controversial, more entertaining and more dominant."

Maybe he forgot about Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain ...

Guess who... Orlando owner Richard DeVos Sr. visited the Magic locker room before Wednesday's game against Miami. Jason Richardson and Daniel Orton purposely greeted the wheelchair-bound 85-year-old, but Dwight Howard didn't acknowledge him.

DeVos unexpectedly addressed the media about Howard, who wants to be traded. "I don't gamble on that," he told reporters when asked what chance the Magic has to re-sign its All-Star center. "I just plan on him staying."

The Wolves visit Orlando on Monday.

He said it Lakers coach Mike Brown on kissing Andrew Bynum after his center scored a crucial tip-in basket in Thursday's overtime victory at Boston: "I laid one on him. I've done that before with my players. Ask Anderson Varejao."
