Jackson signs RFA tender

Quarterback signs his restricted free agent tender

April 19, 2010 at 4:53PM

As expected, quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has signed his RFA tender. The Vikings gave Jackson an "original-round tender" worth $1.176 million.

Jackson and defensive end Ray Edwards were the Vikings remaining restricted free agents who had not signed their tenders. Edwards has said he won't sign his tender until he has to.

Jackson presumably will assume the No. 2 role again this season if, as expected, Brett Favre returns for his 20th NFL season.

Live chat alert: Judd and I will be hosting a live video chat at www.startribune.com to talk about the draft and other Vikings news on Wednesday at noon central time. The chat is scheduled to last one hour.

You can email questions to judd at jzulgad@startribune.com. We hope you join us.
