Longtime commenter Lattewarrior, who represents a big part of the RandBall Southwestern U.S. contingency being based in the Phoenix area, passes along this nugget from a press release. Lest you think those Kevin Love "Love in the Shower" commercials were shot in a hastily selected bathroom, let us ease your minds:

44 Monroe, Arizona's tallest residential luxury high-rise has another claim to fame—one of its sleek, contemporary bathrooms is featured in a Right Guard Body Wash commercial currently airing nationally on ESPN.

The commercial and alternate endings, which were shot in April by Phoenix-based Paula Merrill Productions, features Kevin Love, forward/center for the Minnesota Timberwolves. As Love tries the body wash in the shower, a perplexed wife asks her husband why he's in the couple's shower in the first place. The commercial airs during ESPN's SportsCenter. "The ad has gotten pretty positive feedback," said Stephanie Mueller, spokesperson for The Vault, the New York production company that facilitated the ads for ESPN and Right Guard.

Phoenix-based location scout Jean Davis visited and shot footage at several Phoenix and Scottsdale properties but the bath in an unoccupied unit at the trendy downtown high-rise was ultimately selected for its design, upscale finishes and logistics.

"The ad had to be shot from the point of view of the mirror. The shower had to be across from the mirror and behind the cast members," Mueller added. "In addition to being tastefully outfitted and beautifully equipped, the 44 Monroe bath fulfilled all those qualifications."

It would not have worked, for instance, in our bathroom at home, which is the approximate size of a phone booth. The link above, by the way, will let you view the commercials if you want to. That way you don't have to Google "Love in the Shower" while you're at work. Unless, you know, you want to.
