Very, very quick blog.

I've been out of pocket, but in the few days since we last spoke, the Houston Aeros, who held a 2-1 advantage in the Calder Cup Finals, lost consecutive games Friday and Saturday night to put themselves on the brink of elimination,

The latest was a 4-2 defeat last night to Binghamton with the recap here.

Game 6 is Tuesday night in Houston with Game 7, if necessary, on Thursday night in Houston. According to the AHL, when a Finals is tied 2-2, the Game 5 winner has won the championship 18 of 19 times in history.

The Aeros have played a couple elimination games this postseason -- Game 7 in Milwaukee after holding a 3-2 series advantage and Game 7 at home against Hamilton after holding a 3-0 series advantage.

Now, it's desperation time, but the Aeros are banged up.

Cody Almond and Jared Spurgeon suffered injuries last night.

That's it from here, but I wanted to give you a quick update. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everybody.
