Hormel to get Country Crock side dishes Hormel Foods Corp. of Austin, Minn., said it has agreed to acquire the Country Crock line of refrigerated side dishes from Unilever PLC, the British consumer-goods giant. Terms of the deal, which does not include the better-known line of Country Crock margarines, were not disclosed. Unilever said the Country Crock side dishes, such as mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese, generated about $50 million in revenue last year. The acquisition is expected to close next month.
