Lizzie McGuire is back. Well, actually Hilary Duff is back, this time as a singer.
The star of the TV series “Lizzie McGuire” and “How I Met Your Father” is returning to music. Not only is Duff releasing her first album in 11 years, but she is undertaking a tour that will bring her to the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee on July 25.
This week, Duff kicked off her Vegas residency, with her new album “Luck … or Something” dropping on Feb. 20.
Shakopee presales start next week, with tickets available at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20. Details are at hilaryduff.com/live.
Duff is remembered for the ’00 songs “So Yesterday” and “Come Clean.”
Meanwhile, beloved Australian psych-rockers Tame Impala will headline their first Twin Cities arena show on Aug. 28 at Target Center.
One-man band Kevin Parker dropped his fifth Tame Impala album, “Deadbeat,” in October. “End of Summer,” a single from that album, won the Grammy this month for best dance/electronic recording. That was the second consecutive trophy for Tame Impala in that category.
It has been seven years since Tame Impala last appeared in the Twin Cities, tripping out for two nights at Surly Brewing festival Field in 2019.
