The Twins on Friday placed outfielder Aaron Hicks on the seven-day concussion DL. Hicks crashed into the wall while chasing Scott Van Slyke's deep drive during the Twins' 4-3, 12-inning loss to the Dodgers on Thursday.

With the move, the Twins are calling up lefthander Logan Darnell to shore up the bullpen for a couple days after Twins relievers were used extensively during the series against the Dodgers.
Darnell is 0-0 with a 1.69 ERA in four games at Class AAA Rochester.
The Twins will have 14 pitchers for a couple days until the bullpen gets some rest. Every Twins reliever was used on Thursday during the doubleheader loss to the Dodgers, and a few pitched Wednesday and Thursday.
