If your name is David, Dave or Davey, you're entitled to a free entree (up to $15) all day Sunday, Aug. 1, at Famous Dave's restaurants.

If your middle name is David or a derivation, you get a 50 percent discount off one entree.

Anyone whose surname is David, you're outta luck. (Lyricist Hal David, we feel your pain.)

Last year was the first annual Dave's Day. Lines formed out the doors and 12,000 free entrees were served. Word has spread even wider this year. Unless you're known as Patient Dave, go early or plan for a late lunch or dinner.

Fifteen of the 21 Minnesota locations are participating. For the list, go to www.davesday2010.com.

Friends of Dave, you get a special, too. Ribs are only a buck a bone with any $5 purchase (six ribs maximum).

Oh, and Dave? Don't forget your picture ID to claim your free or discounted entree.
