Memphis star Marc Gasol and Mike Conley are not in tonight's starting lineup and probably won't play tonight in the Wolves' season opener at Target Center.

They are expected to be in uniform and available to play, but probably won't, apparently as part of coach David Fizdale's maintenance plan to keep his aging team healthy all year.

Still, this is just the Grizzlies' fourth game. But they play three games in four nights starting tonight, including a game back home against New Orleans tomorrow.

Tony Allen is available to play but probably won't, either.

Meanwhile, Ricky Rubio will miss his first game after spraining his right elbow in Saturday's loss at Sacramento. Rookie Kris Dunn gets the start at point guard instead.
