Lynx update: After improving to 5-0 with three victories in four days, the Lynx took two days off before resuming practice Thursday. And while it appears that top backups Monica Wright and Devereaux Peters are close to returning after knee procedures, the Lynx will continue to play with nine healthy players for now. The Lynx, the league's only undefeated team, are leading the WNBA in scoring (87.0) and fast-break points (18.0). F Maya Moore leads the league in scoring (29.8); G Seimone Augustus is averaging 20.0 points. PG Lindsay Whalen has scored 43 points the past two games.

Stars update: The return of G Becky Hammon and F Sophia Young-Malcom — both missed all of last season because of injuries — and the drafting of G Kayla McBride with the third overall pick in April have the Stars aiming for a playoff berth. McBride, the former Notre Dame star, scored 30 points in 30 minutes — including a three-pointer with 13.4 seconds left — to lift San Antonio to an 82-79 victory over Tulsa on Wednesday. "She was great," Hammon said. San Antonio (3-2) has won three of its past four games, all by six points or fewer.
