Gameday preview: Lynx at Washington

The Lynx will try to begin a new winning streak after seeing their 13-0 start end Friday night.

Preview: The Lynx will try to rebound from a 94-76 loss to Los Angeles on Friday. The loss ended a season-opening 13-game winning streak for the Lynx. The Lynx defeated the Mystics 83-76 in Washington on June 11. The Mystics (7-8) are coming off a 91-79 loss at home to Phoenix on Friday. The loss, which ended a three-game winning streak, dropped the Mystics to 2-6 at home.

Players to watch: Lynx F Maya Moore showed no lingering effects from a thigh bruise when she scored a game-high 28 points (making six three-pointers) in Friday's loss to Los Angeles. G Seimone Augustus, held to four points on Friday, scored a season-high 21 in the first meeting against the Mystics. Mystics G Tayler Hill, a Minneapolis native, scored 18 points in the loss to the Mercury. Hill leads the Mystics in scoring (15.7 points per game). Mystics C Emma Meesseman, who is averaging 14.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, scored 19in the first Lynx game. Second-year Mystics G Natasha Cloud scored a career-high 18 on Friday.

Numbers: The Lynx, who average 20.1 assists per game (second best in the WNBA), had just 14 on Friday while giving up 11 three-pointers.
