Lynx update: Coach Cheryl Reeve keeps trying to spread the minutes among her nine healthy players, but her stars, especially Maya Moore, continue to get the big minutes. Averaging more than 40 minutes per game (remember Sunday's overtime), Moore has averaged 33.5 points, 10.5 rebounds 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists in two wins. G Seimone Augustus is shooting 58.8 percent and averaging 21 points. G Lindsay Whalen shook off a difficult regulation to score 10 of Minnesota's 12 overtime points in Sunday's victory over Connecticut.

Shock update: Tulsa figures to be much improved over last year's 11-23 team. G Skylar Diggins, the third overall pick in the 2013 draft, scored 20 points in Tulsa's opening four-point loss at San Antonio, and G Odyssey Sims, the second overall pick this year, figures to have an impact. Still, after F Glory Johnson, the Shock is thin in the front court.

The WNBA and its players' union weren't able to agree to a new collective bargaining agreement by the Friday night deadline, and now the league enters a ''status-quo'' period with no new extension reached.
