Lynx update: The Lynx lead second-place Phoenix by 3½ games in the West; the teams play twice in the next three games. … Maya Moore became the sixth-fastest WNBA player to reach 3,000 points in the Lynx's 78-61 victory at San Antonio on Friday. The Lynx trailed by a point at halftime but used a 19-0 run early in the second half to break the game open. G Seimone Augustus missed the game because of a right foot injury.

Mercury update: Defending WNBA champion Phoenix (15-11) clinched a playoff spot Friday because of San Antonio's loss, despite losing 76-68 at home to Los Angeles. It was the Mercury's third loss in a row. … Three players are averaging at least 15 ppg: DeWanna Bonner, Brittney Griner and Candice Dupree. The 6-8 Griner is blocking a league-high 4.3 shots per game.
