Gameday preview: Lynx at Indiana
The Lynx get little rest, playing at Indiana on Saturday less than 24 hours after kicking off their season.
6 p.m. AT INDIANA • Bankers Life Fieldhouse • FSN, 106.1-FM
Lynx update: They are finishing up the first of two back-to-backs on their schedule this year. The Lynx were 2-1 on the back end of back-to-backs last season. The Lynx have won seven consecutive regular-season games vs. Indiana as well as seven consecutive regular-season games at Indiana. C Asjha Jones (blood deficiency) is out and G Monica Wright (calf) is questionable.
Fever update: After serving as Lin Dunn's assistant for four years, Stephanie White — an Indiana basketball legend in her own right — takes over as coach of the Fever. White, a high school star at Seeger High in West Lebanon, Ind., and a college star at Purdue, inherits a team expected to contend. F Tamika Catchings, limited by injuries last season, is healthy and still an elite player. G Briann January returns after averaging in double figures last season. But fellow G Shavonte Zellous is out while playing for Croatia in the EuroBasket tournament.
