Preview: The Lynx (15-3), coming off an 87-82 victory over Chicago on Tuesday, will try to extend their two-game winning streak in Connecticut. The Lynx and Connecticut split two meetings last season — the Lynx winning in Uncasville, Conn., for the fourth consecutive time and losing by one point to the Sun at Target Center. The Sun (4-13) are coming off an 86-83 victory at Dallas on Saturday. The victory ended a three-game losing streak and was just the second win in the past eight games for the Sun.

Players to watch: Lynx F Maya Moore scored 33 points — one shy of her season high — against Chicago while G Seimone Augustus scored 16, her most in eight games. … Sun G Alex Bentley is averaging a team-high 14.4 points. She scored 24 in the victory over Dallas. F Chiney Ogwumike, the 2014 WNBA Rookie of the Year who missed last season after microfracture surgery on her right knee, is averaging 8.1 points. Former Gopher Rachel Banham, in her first season with the Sun, is averaging 3.9 points in 11.4 minutes per game.

Numbers: After 13 seasons as a college coach (11 at Bowling Green and two at Indiana), Curt Miller is in his first season as the Sun coach. The Sun has missed the playoffs the past three seasons. … Lindsay Whalen needs four points to reach 5,000 in her career, the 15th player to reach that milestone.
