Banham heating up on threes

Preview: The Lynx (5-7) are coming off a 95-77 loss at Dallas on Saturday. The Lynx defeated the Wings 85-73 two nights earlier for their first road victory of the season. The Lynx and Atlanta met twice at Target Center earlier this month. The Lynx won both games — 86-84 on June 4 and 100-80 two days later. Atlanta (5-7) is coming off a 96-93 loss at Washington on Thursday. The Dream defeated Washington 101-73 two nights earlier at home. The Thursday loss was the fifth in the past six games for the Dream.

Players to watch: Lynx F Napheesa Collier and G Crystal Dangerfield each scored 17 points Saturday. C Sylvia Fowles had eight rebounds to surpass 3,500 rebounds for her WNBA career. G Tiffany Hayes leads the Dream in scoring (17.6 points per game). G Courtney Williams is averaging 16.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. G Odyssey Sims, in her first season with Atlanta after two seasons with the Lynx, is averaging 8.3 points per game. Sims scored a season-high 22 on Thursday.

Numbers: Lynx G Rachel Banham started the season 1-of-11 from three-point range. She has made 16 of her past 21 three-point attempts and is shooting 51.5% on threes for the season.

Injuries: For the Lynx, Natalie Achonwa (knee), Aerial Powers (thumb) and Rennia Davis (foot) are out. Jessica Shepard (groin) is questionable.
