Lynx-Sparks II, this time at Target CenterLynx at a glance: Maya Moore makes her Target Center debut in a rematch of Friday night's game. Moore scored 21 points in her WNBA debut -- the same number as she had in her first college game for Connecticut -- but it wasn't enough. The Lynx lost 82-74 to Los Angeles at Staples Center. "I was just a little anxious, excited to play," said Moore, who added that it took "maybe four trips or so" up and down the court to get into the game's flow. "I think everybody was trying to get their rhythm," Moore said. "I felt pretty confident with what we were running and getting more familiar with my teammates." ... Nobody else had a big game scoring. Lindsay Whalen was next with 11 points while Rebekkah Brunson had 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. The Lynx had a 50-40 lead early in the third quarter, but Los Angeles closed the quarter with a 16-5 run to go ahead by two points.
Sparks at a glance: Candace Parker led Los Angeles to its eighth consecutive victory over the Lynx. She had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Another key player in the Sparks' comeback was ex-Lynx guard Noelle Quinn. She made three three-pointers as L.A. quickly cut into the Lynx's big lead in the third quarter. Quinn finished with 11 points. Rookie guard Jenna O'Hea of Australia had nine points, all in the second half, and was 3-for-4 on three-pointers off the bench. L.A. reserves outscored the Lynx bench players 29-18.
