Gameday: Lynx vs. Atlanta

June 17, 2011 at 6:03AM

Lynx at a glance: Rebekkah Brunson is averaging a WNBA-high 14 rebounds and is second in the league in field goal shooting (64.1 percent). She has double-doubles in four games in a row for the Lynx (3-1) and, with her next one, will tie the franchise record of 17 for most career double-doubles. The Lynx have outscored opponents 64-10 on points off fast breaks. Minnesota and Atlanta, who split two games last season, meet again in Atlanta on Sunday. They are the top two rebounding teams in the league.

Dream at a glance: Atlanta (1-3) opened the season with three losses before beating New York 79-58 Tuesday. Angel McCoughtry, who averaged 21 points last season in leading the Dream to the Eastern Conference title, played only three minutes in Atlanta's first two games because of a sprained left knee. But she had 19 points in the Dream's third game and 18 vs. the Liberty in her first start. Forward Sancho Lyttle, a two-time All-Star, has left Atlanta for the rest of June to play for Spain in the European championships.
