As the Feb. 5 signing day for NCAA national letters of intent in football gets closer, here's a look at several top players within the West Metro:
• Chanhassen's Frank Ragnow, a four-star offensive lineman, has made official visits to Arkansas, Minnesota and Florida State. He recently tweeted that he no longer will talk with reporters until he makes his decision.
• DeLaSalle junior offensive lineman Drayton Carlberg recently received an offer from Minnesota. Carlberg, 6-5 and 280 pounds, already has offers from Rutgers and Pitt.
• Senior receiver Adam Hoffman, who led Holy Angels to the Class 4A championship games (which the Stars lost to Hutchinson), has been invited to play at Princeton. Ivy League teams do not offer athletic scholarships.
• Benilde-St. Margaret's quarterback Keaton Studsrud has offers from North Dakota and South Alabama. He has a Minnesota visit set for Jan. 31.
• Eden Prairie offensive lineman Rob Olson has offers from Air Force, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, Princeton, South Dakota State, Wyoming and Yale.
• Olson's teammate, running back Anthony Anderson, has received interest but no confirmed offers from Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota State and Northern Iowa.
• Add Iowa State, Michigan State and Syracuse to the list of teams that have offered Minneapolis Washburn running back Jeff Jones.
