The five members of the Minnesota Lynx who contributed to Team USA's gold-medal effort at the Rio Olympics will make their triumphant return to the Twin Cities on Monday evening. The Lynx are encouraging fans to attend and celebrate the victory.

Players Lindsay Whalen, Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles and head coach Cheryl Reeve, who was an assistant coach for Team USA, are expected to arrive Monday at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport's Lindbergh Terminal at 6:15 p.m. on Delta Air Lines Flight 2816. Fans can greet the returning team members in the baggage claim area.

Team USA won its sixth consecutive gold medal Saturday with a 101-72 victory over Spain in the finals. It was the third gold for Augustus and Fowles, while Whalen and Moore each earned their second.

The Star Tribune will be on hand to cover the return. For more, including a story, photos and video, please check back at www.startribune.com.
