After upsizing to stadiums on his last tour that came to Minnesota, Eric Church will return to the arena life in St. Paul this winter.

The North Carolina countryman has confirmed a Feb. 7 date at Grand Casino Arena, the hockey hub formerly known as Xcel Energy Center. It’ll actually be Church’s first time playing the venue, after several previous appearances at Target Center and his last local gig at U.S. Bank Stadium in 2022 with Morgan Wallen for his opener.

Tickets for the Saturday night show in St. Paul go on sale Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com. Presale options begin Monday, with early registration available through ericchurch.com. Prices have not been publicized. His opening act this time around will be Alabaman newcomer Ella Langley, who recently scored the No. 1 country hit “You Look Like You Love Me.”

Church, 48, is calling this outing the Free the Machine Tour after his most recent album, “Evangeline vs. the Machine,” which features the singles “Hands of Time” and “Darkest Hour.” The latter tune was written in response to Hurricane Helene’s damaging impact on his home state, for which he raised more than $24 million in relief money last year via his Concert for Carolina with Luke Combs.

Other Midwest dates on Church’s upcoming tour include Omaha on Feb. 5 and Sioux Falls on Feb. 6.
