Eden Prairie, Rosemount top seeds in 6A football state tournament

The Eagles play East Ridge on Friday. The Irish open on Thursday against Lakeville North.

Three-time defending state champion Eden Prairie, the top seed in the Class 6A football state tournament, will open its bid for a record fourth consecutive title against East Ridge in a quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. Friday at Woodbury High School.

Other matchups released Saturday by the Minnesota State High School League:

Rosemount, seeded second, plays Lakeville North at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Edina High School.

No. 3 seed Mounds View plays Totino-Grace at 7 p.m. Thursday at Maple Grove High School.

Fourth-seeded Maple Grove plays Prior Lake at 7 p.m. Friday at Minnetonka High School.
