Dwight Howard fined for obscene gesture to fan during Wolves game

The Charlotte center will pay the NBA $25,000.

Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard was hit with a $25,000 fine by the NBA for making an obscene gesture at a fan during his team's loss to the Timberwolves on Sunday night.

The NBA said the incident occured late in the second quarter of the Wolves' 112-94 victory.

NBA executive VP of basketball operations Kiki VanDeWeghe issued the fine.
