Being the hottest-selling artist in popular music has apparently put Drake in the weeds. The Toronto hip-hop star has delayed his upcoming tour by more than two weeks due to production reasons, which means his Aug. 1 date at Xcel Energy Center has now been changed to Aug. 12.

Tickets to the original date will be honored on the new night, which now falls on a Sunday instead of next Wednesday. Refunds will be given at the arena to fans who can't make the new date, and more seats will be on sale via Ticketmaster ($70-$195).

St. Paul now has the second stop on the so-called Aubrey & the Three Amigos Tour after Kansas City. The trek -- featuring openers Migos – was supposed to kick off in Denver this upcoming weekend, but those two dates have now been put off to later in the tour. The trek follows the rocketing success of Drake's fifth album, "Scorpion," which has been No. 1 on the charts for three weeks running.

A Drake representative issued this statement: "In order to deliver the high standard tour experience our fans expect and deserve, we have made the necessary decision to slightly adjust the beginning of the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour schedule."

Drake's prior two arena-headlining dates in the Twin Cities, including the sold-out Xcel Center stop in 2016, featured visually dazzling stage effects and video production.
