Donaldson Co. said Tuesday that it has sold Ultratroc Gmbh, a German manufacturer of industrial compressed air dryers, for an undisclosed amount.

Donaldson, a Minneapolis-based maker of industrial filters, said the sale to German firm IJW Anlagenbau Gmbh will close Sept. 23. The manager of the 38-employee Ultratroc plant in Flensburg, Germany, is also the co-owner of the acquiring company.

Under terms of the sale, Donaldson will continue to sell the Ultratroc product under its own Ultrafilter brand name.

The transaction won't have a material effect on Donaldson finances, the company said.
