July 9, 2013 at 1:34AM

Donaldson Co. said Monday that it will build a new plant in Skarbimierz, Poland, to manufacture heavy-duty automotive air filters.

The Minneapolis-based maker of industrial filters said the Polish plant, its third in Central and Eastern Europe, will make air filters for on-road and off-road vehicles beginning in 2015. Donaldson said the plant will serve the European and Russian markets for original and aftermarket automotive air filters. The company's other two Central and Eastern European plants are in the Czech Republic.

After the announcement, Donaldson stock rose 3 cents, or less than 1 percent, to close at $36.49.
